| Pepe & Hazard has one of the strongest federal criminal practices in the region. We represent individuals and business entities in connection with the broad spectrum of matters commonly referred to as white collar crime. We represent targets and witnesses during government investigations, and at trial and on appeal. We conduct internal investigations and advise clients on various compliance issues and programs that conform to federal government standards. We also have developed an expertise interpreting the complex federal sentencing guidelines - both in terms of developing defenses to win favorable downward departures from the guidelines and acting as sentencing experts to guide clients and other lawyers through the tricky terrain of federal criminal sentencing.
Our lawyers developed their skill as federal and state prosecutors, serving in a variety of senior roles including United States Attorney. Collectively, they have extensive experience trying cases before federal and state courts, as well as arguing appeals before the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and other federal circuits and state appellate courts.
We have cultivated strategic working relationships with certified public accountants, private investigators and other consultants and experts, all of whom have extensive federal law enforcement experience.
